It's always an interesting feeling when you're suddenly paralysed by terror over something you can't really name. Well, it is, until you go through all the things you've got a reason to be anxious about.

That's when it gets really scary.

10:05 am - assessment GO!
So apparently Calculus is the same as before, Java is a freaking joke, Studio Foundations is all about ganking stuff from the other studios and Drawing is going to kick my sorry ass.

Well, whatever. At least I don't have five classes a day like some people I could mention, those poor bastards.

6:51 pm - as we ride along...
Mrs. P finally got me my kickass blank hoody! It'd probably cost me like $50 to get the same thing at a skate shop, so I'm happy. It's weird to think that this is my first real hoody, considering that I seem to love them so much. It's hardly like they're difficult to get.

Now for the printing job. Where the hell is my foamy roller? D:

1:01 am - zerudaaaa.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the N64 is occupying my every waking moment. This is probably a bad thing.

From the looks of things, we are probably going to have a five-day weekend thanks to the ongoing teacher's strike. Shit!

10:41 pm - status report
So. According to what my physics teacher said when we saw him last, if the teacher's strike goes out of hand he holds a risk of getting thrown in jail, because he is the secretary treasurer for the teacher's union of these parts. We haven't seen him for a couple days now. From the looks of it, we probably won't for a few more.

NUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuu!!! FREEEEEEE FERREIRAAAAA!!!

On another note, the marketing class is very detrimental to my confidence level. At least I'm getting a warehouse-priced sweatshirt out of the deal =(

My dad has gone to a Microsoft new-product convention of some sort, and I am somehow extremely jealous.

I worry for myself ._.

9:53 pm - what a way to go
So school started two weeks ago and I'm depressed because my capacity for pulling artsy stuff out of my ass has decreased 88% since July. This is not a good time for this to happen, because I need to make some logos for the lame clothing line!

I blame it all on lack of really brain-kicking music as of late, really. Someone give me brain-kicking music, please.

Anyway, my goals for this school year are to:
    a) find a direction in life
    b) play more videogames.

I'm still trying to figure out whether they're contradictory or not.

6:35 pm - BLAHBLAHBLAH
Principles of Mathematics 12 Provincial Exam. February 1.

Ewwww. I am so going to summer school this year.

Anyways, stuff is getting kinda hectic in the Math department and my electives, but -- funnily enough -- not Socials. We're learning how to take notes in university classes in it or something. And getting really pissed about the US and NAFTA. You're apparently EATING OUR CULTURE, you damn yanks! Not that I'm not already American already...I live beneath the 49th parallel >O

3:28 pm - I know of strange people
Okay. What happened was that some guy with a bag over his head ran through the gym where the parent-teacher interviews were being held. Naked.

SCHOOL HISTORY MAN =D

Really, I put Tokyo exploding in a ball of fire higher on the list of probable things that would occur than some kid streaking through the parent-teacher conference session. And better yet, one of his friends filmed it, so if his bandwidth comes back or something you guys can watch it here (it's "Streaker II"). The follow-up is "Suspended" (you can guess what happened), so watch that to see the cameraman pseudo-piss on the principal's photo XD

As for myself, I got horrific cramps and missed a day of school. Geugh.

2:55 pm - dude.
I am SO bad at keeping up with things. Seriously.

So what's going on now? Eh. I just got out of a major slump in life in general (bad health, crappy grades, shitastical art, etc.), which is good because things start to get stupidly busy from now on until Christmas.

Oh well. At least I can draw again. )

And that's it until...I'unno. Until I get over my lurking period.

9:05 pm - DON'T USE COW BE COOL.
Another post no one will pay attention to...except that it's from CHINA! Land of the terrorist street vendors and homicidal taxi drivers who hate seatbelts! Oh-em-effing-gee! At least give me some satisfaction in giving you this report in the first place: typing, drawing and using chopsticks have become very painful tasks as of yesterday night, when I hit the closing steel door with the side of my right fist while running into the elevator.

...jeezus, don't laugh. It's not pleasant.

Eh. I'm sitting around in room 2020 of CHINA PEOPLE'S PALACE (no, I'm not kidding) with the laptop. Blazing sunshine sounds like a good reason to be outside, but that doesn't happen to be the case with the temperature up over 32C (ick). On the day after we got here, the sky was cloudy, but the heat and humidity made it somewhat similar to one of those simulation rainforests. Except grimier.

Other than the obligatory tourist-trap visiting, I've been keeping myself amused by buying stuff -- it's really easy to find nice pants here, for some reason. Tourist spots I've gone through so far are the summer palace and the imperial park. It was raining both times but that was, at least, better than sun.

There's a big all-Asia comics/cartooning convention thing going on here on the 9th, so I'll be going to that -- I won't be able to avoid the cosplayers but Asian cosplay is usually semi-decent. There aren't that many Japanese artists, for some reason. Either the Chinese still have a problem with letting them in or the Japanese are being stuck up -- something tells me that it's a combination of both. Ehh.

Whatever. God I suck at these things.

5:59 pm - zaijian and stuff.
Lawd. I really, really don't post enough.

Well...I'm going to China in two days. I'll probably be there for six weeks, give or take. I'll try to update this lj from time to time from internet cafes.

With photos. Mainly just to piss Mathias off.

I guess there really isn't much more I can say until I get somewhere. But until then, zaijian.

9:11 pm - I scare me a lot.
I don't know what's wrong with my mind. Fraser slashed me in the hand with a rubber knife today, so I've got this cut about a millimetre below the skin. For some reason, I think it's the coolest thing in the world. It's like, "INTERNAL BLEEDING! WHA-HOO!" Other than that, I slammed a knee down on pavement today so walking is pretty painful.

So right now I seem to be writing a news report about that scene in Romeo and Juliet where Mercutio is killed by Tybalt who is killed by Romeo who is booted out of the city before he can bang Juliet. JOY! It should be easy, though, so I don't expect to stay up too late tonight.

Blaah. Ragnarok Online is a pain in the ass when you don't have help with you, especially when you're a hybrid Knight with a dexterity score of 25.

6:06 pm - crazy unions...
I guess I won't be going to school tommorow. The healthcare union went on strike, and all of the other unions jumped in to help, so...no teachers. I guess it's sort of a good thing? Ehhhh.

(I should be delirious with joy, but I'm not. Hm.)

4:47 pm - 'Nayzis'. Oh god.
Stupid kid. They shouldn't let sixth-graders into a Holocaust symposium.

Is this not kickass? Go Steph! )

I hate getting handouts from gym, damnit. I forgot to get my soccer handout after changing, so I'm essentially screwed when it comes to the quiz first thing tommorow. Eeh, I really don't know much about soccer...

This is really true. I'd love to do a shoujo flipside someday, just to have the main girl Aikido-throw the main character guy on impulse for crashing into her. Bwahar.

10:34 pm - aaahhahaa.
You have GOT to hear Gregory Chaucer in rap. It sort of sounds better without the music, though.

I think I just broke my keyboard tray. The damn thing refused to pull out more than an inch or so, and when I basically wrenched it out a ball-bearing came out (that thing is so cute). Now it won't go back in without some serious work on my part. AAAARGH, BASTARD!

To the studio guys: EDG came up with this first, but...we are SO getting a livejournal community now. The blog won't 'publish' anything, so there's really no point in keeping the thing. I'll check if Mathias and Steph have ljs...I'm pretty sure than Mathias doesn't use his, if he has one.

We still need a name, but...I guess that's for the next group chat/free-for-all-bloodfest.

I confirmed my courses today. Apparently, no one is taking Honours Math 12 EXCEPT for us Chinese kids, because our parents made us. Grr grrrrrr.
